Health insurance - no better time for a quote

Dec 10th, 2018

Rarely a day goes by when we haven't been reminded about how stretched the NHS services are. Whether we're reading something in the news, watching the TV, or discussing a more personal experience involving a close friend or relative. The pressure on the NHS facilities, systems and staff has surely never been greater.

In amongst the reports and statistics there is some great work taking place in the NHS, and numerous solutions need to be found to support it and to ease the financial burden. Just last week positive news of a development linked here was published, focussing on how digital services and technologies (which put consumers at the heart of healthcare) are key to transforming the NHS. Government policies that support preventative healthcare and give the NHS wider scope for the provision of wellbeing services are other developments that many of us would like to see.

As we are approaching Christmas, whilst we are all wishing for a brighter future for the NHS, not surprisingly more and more of us are beginning to consider what else we can do to support our own health and wellbeing. Whether this be through making different and better lifestyle decisions, or perhaps considering the option of private medical insurance.

Some reports have suggested that around 11% of the UK population currently have some form of healthcare insurance. Whatever the exact figure, we see the potential for it to rise in the next few years, as more individuals and businesses seek reassurance of being able to access treatment quickly and conveniently. A wealth of information is available online explaining what health insurance can cover, and this has been well illustrated in this recent news article released by the Association of British Insurers (ABI).

We are certainly seeing more interest in healthcare insurance from individuals and businesses and, as we deal with some of the leading providers in this sector, we are well placed to offer advice and source quotations. If you would like to find out more, there could be no better time to get in touch with us for a quote.
